| Objective: Eye movement recordings display changes in the oculomotor pathway which in some conditions have been linked to Parkinson's disease (PD). However, previous studies have revealed conflicting results for saccade latency either shorter or longer. The aim of this study was to investigate pro-saccades responses in early staged PD compared to healthy controls (HCs).Methods: Eye movement recordings were administered to 17 patients with PD (mage: 64.2±9.6, disease duration 4.5±5.7 years) and 31 healthy controls (HCs)(age: 62.6±9.3). We tested participants to probed their performance [saccadic reaction time (SRT), anticipatory and corrected saccade responses] on pro-saccades trials. Motor disability of PD was assessed using the UPDRS-III (18.6±10.5).
