I completed my undergraduate studies in Political Science and International Relations at Yıldız Technical University and received my master's degree in Political Science from the University of Vienna. In 2023, I earned my PhD in Political Science from Istanbul Bilgi University with the dissertation titled "Everyday Practices in the Modern Metropolis and Sites of Encounter: The Metrobuses of Istanbul." My doctoral thesis was published as Spatial Encounters and Togetherness in the Metropolis: Metrobuses of Istanbul (Palgrave Macmillan, 2024). My research examines the administration of space through the lenses of political thought and governance studies, with a particular focus on everyday practices and forms of living together. In this context, I approach space not merely as a field of physical regulation but as a domain shaped by political power, administrative rationalities, and social relations. This perspective informs my engagement with urban studies and debates on democracy. My current research agenda is oriented toward thinking about processes of democratization and authoritarian governance within the context of neoliberalism, with particular attention to environmental and urban policies. In this framework, I aim to conduct theoretical and empirical studies on how the management of space relates to political ideas and governance practices.
